So I am in Dire Need (as opposed to Dire Maul? :P) of help settling a debate between my GM Azalyn and myself.

Currently Tart is wearing:
Ceaseless Pity
Neck
42 Stam
41 Int
43 Crit Rating
66 Spell Power
13 Mana per 5

All around a good solid piece for Disc Priests. However, I have the Key to the Focus Iris quest for the 10 man version of Maly. The Quest Reward is:

Torque of the Red Dragonflight
Neck
42 Stam
43 Int
Yellow Socket
+5 SP socket bonus
30 Crit Rating
56 Spell Power
15 Mana Per 5

Tart is fairly good crit wise atm (she hovers around 27% unbuffed, 35-40% raid buffed depending if we have a crit chicken or not) So I’d really like to gem for Int, as my mana pool is a little smaller than I would like, due to wearing the Holy Tier 7.5 Helm and Shoulders rather than something that is Best In Slot for the set bonus, and higher mana returns from Rapture will be nice (especially once 3.1 comes out and DA will no longer give returns). Both items are ilvl 213 (the 25man Maly neck is ilvl226).

The debate? Az says the Torque is better “in every way” and recommended the +9SP +9 Int gem for it. I still kind of like my neck better, though the 16 Int from the gem would be nice, but I’m not sure it’s worth sacrificing 13 Crit and 5 SP for. So I seek the opinions of others.

Good News Everyone! I’m back! Family issues aside, I should be updating regularly again.

So after last week’s amazing Raiding (Full Naxx clear in just over 4 hours and 1 shot Maly) everyone headed into this weeks schedule full of energy. As I was contemplating how to heal Naxx while making homemade enchiladas for dinner, I logged on to vent to hear our GM telling one of our newer TreeDruids that the raid was full on healers, but if he wanted to listen on vent we would yell for him if someone dropped. SOLUTION! As the Tree is not fantastically geared I told our GM that I would drop since there was a better chance that loots would be an upgrade for him than me, and I was planning on making a labor intensive dinner. I quickly assured him that I would be fooling around on an alt, and would stay logged on to vent so that I was easily accesible. TreeDruid thanked me profusely and everyone was on their way.

First boss they hit up? Good ol’ Instructor Razuvious. And apparently FailPriest1 was having an EPIC FailPriest Night. 4 wipes later, My Shadow Priest Recruit, Malpractice, swoops in, MCs them to victory, then resumes the parenting of his children (Thanks for being a good sport and saving yourself for 1 fight! And for making me look good for recruiting you! Promotion earned for you good sir.) They made it through Gothik ok, then came the favorite 4 Horsemen. 3 wipes later my screen was flooded with “TART. i HATE you. you left us. Stop cooking and get in here NAO” love notes. Finally down goes the Military Quarter, and on to Construct. And that’s when Patch wiped the raid. This was HEARTBREAKING to most, as it marks our first ever Patchwerk wipe that wasn’t because the melee dps forgot to click off their fort buff. That’s when I hear “Hey Az, why don’t we bring Tart in for this fight. Her bubbles help.” Az, ever persistant and kind hearted doesn’t want to boot FailPriest1 so he gives it another go. And they down him. And manage to make it through the Construct Quarter in decent shape, despite pushing the enrage timer on Thaddius. They decide to take 5 and hubby comes downstairs to vent his frustration at FailPriest1 and the other non-paying attention people, as well as attempt to ninja food. They make it through Plague wing ok, and then I hear “Tart!!! People are bailing and we want to finish this. Get in here so we can chain pull everything and finish” 20 minutes later Spider Wing was done, and I was a hero (though not a hero rewarded with loot but still a hero.)

Let’s hope tonight’s Saph/KT/Maly kill happens quick. We are attempting Sarth 3D after! :)

Hi Everyone,

Please excuse the lack of posts lately. My husband’s Aunt had a heart attack on 3/10, and fell into a coma shortly after, so we’ve had an influx of guests, and coupled with work it has left little time for WoW at all let alone blogging. They have made the decision to take her off of life support, so I will be out about another week, as we are having to prepare to drive to Mexico for the funeral. Everything should be back up and running sometime next week, I hope you’ll all stick around.

In keeping with my mini raid guides, I decided to veer off the Naxx train and do VoA. As, I hope everyone knows Vault of Whatever-his-name-is is in Wintergrasp and can be fought when Horde your faction controls Wintergrasp. This is an easy fight and a good way to [hopefully] pick up a couple pieces of either your PvE set or your PvP set if you are so inclined. There are only 2 trash pulls and a boss in here. The trash pulls are your standard PewPewWin, just make sure to stay out of the crumbling ceiling. And now the boss:

Ahh Raid Chat. How I love thee. In the downtime during phase one of Kel, here were some of our funnier raid shenanigans:

So, I was trying to tell one of my friends a funny that happened in raid last night on four horseman, and realized that other than the phrase “and then Rippa yelled ‘I want Tart in the back'” being a ‘that’s what she said’ in general she wouldn’t have any idea of what the heck I was talking about as she hasn’t stepped into Naxx yet. So, my limited work resources MSPaint was used to create something I like to call The Mini Raid Guide. And I thought I would share.

P.S. The funny story? Rippa was Tank4, I was assigned to Tank2 with Daynum. Rippa yells in vent “Sorry Day, I want Tart with me in the back” the proceeds to /flirt and /dance with me until our GM was like “okfine. Tart go keep Rippa from dying like usual. And sorry Day, looks like you’ve gotta share your wife.”

So, since 25 man Maly seems to be the bane of existance right now (8%?! Come ON!) we decided to switch our raid rotation up last night to give us more time to work on him. And my that seemed to be a mistake. Fights that we normally breezed through wiped us (as did trash pulls a couple times) and it was just not our best showing all around. I’ll admit that the first wipe on Razuvious was totally my fault. My computer decided to have issues at that moment and trying to MC to do that fight on 1fps is tough indeed. But we managed to get it thanks to Rippa stepping up and actually tanking Raz himself for the last 100k HP. In all fairness we had a couple people that had never been in Naxx in there with us, but it just seemed like everyone was having an off night. We did manage to pick it up at the end and get the Heroic: Arachnophobia down.

But we did have one kind of major moment in guild. I guess major for me more than anyone else. I am still currently using War Mace of Unrequited Love on Tart. Well Gluth dropped This Bad Boy. And low and behold I roll a 75. And begin to dance in glee, as the only other priest in raid has the KT Mace and is holy (I know, Holy needs crit too, but still.). And he rolls a 76. And GM passes it to him. I about die. Not wanting to make a stink in raid chat (though I have seen this particular priest loot whore other items in raid before.) I quietly whisper our GM and tell him “Hey. Priesty has the KT Mace that he won last week, he shouldn’t have been allowed to need roll on that” GM agrees (by way of whispering FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK to me) and whispers The Other Priest to submit a ticket and have the item sent to me, as it is a massive upgrade for me, and a downgrade/offspec for him. I get a whisper later from T.O.P. saying ‘hey, I didn’t realize you NEEDED the weapon. why did you get me in trouble?!’ And that is when I almost lost it on him. my intent by any means was not to get The Other Priest in trouble, but to let the GM know that he may need to look out for stuff like that. Also, then what is the purpose of NEED rolls over greed rolls, if people who are greeding are going to roll for needs anyway? I have passed many an upgrade of mine to someone for whom it is a much larger upgrade. I could never imagine taking a downgrade for me from someone who is upgrading to it.

So my question is: How does everyone else deal with Loot Issues and/or Do you have Loot Issues?
